Federation of Insurance Woman of Texas celebrates 67 years in the Texas Insurance industry! With over 800 members, our nonprofit membership base includes insurance professionals throughout the state of Texas and beyond.
FIWT was formed in 1944 and the goals set by the original officers are the goals still today:
“First through study and practice, the building and maintaining of greater efficiency. Second, through association and business meetings, the establishing of acquaintance with insurance women. Third, to collectively participate in the civic betterment of the community. Finally, through unselfish service, seek to elevate the standards of the insurance profession.”
The goals of FIWT have not wavered in 66 years. FIWT still promotes and provides education for members and the Texas Insurance industry. Our motto is " Federation for Education." FIWT annual community service projects benefit various charitable organizations including Make a Wish Foundation, Special Olympics, and many others.

For the year November, 2010 through October, 2011 FIWT chose the
Wounded Warrior Project. Our members worked all year to collect funds
and host events to raise money for our community project. It is with
great pleasure that we announce our members have raised a total of
$21,000 to donate to Wounded Warrior Project! Way to go members!

Each year the Federation holds two major events to provide education, establish industry relationships, raise money for state community service projects, heighten career awareness efforts to bring new people into the industry and encourage social interaction among peers. These events are the Mid Year Education Conference in April and annual convention and trade show in October.
